Thugocracy?

The NYT reported yesterday on something that really reveals the heart of the President. I don't think the NYT realized...

...they were doing that, but none the less, the President has enemies.

Here is what the President said as quoted by the NYT.

“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s going to be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

Some have wondered if the President is keeping an enemies list - well, I think we just got the answer; yes he is. Who are these enemies the President seeks to punish? They are, according to the NYT, those border security concerned, immigration law enforcing minded Americans. What, you say? How could an American who supports the enforcement of existing Federal immigration law be construed as an enemy of the State? How could an American that is concerned about border security be construed as an enemy of the State? There is no logical answer, for this issue arises from deep within derangement. A deranged minded person cannot produce a coherent argument - what we see here is raw politics at all costs, even to the point of naming honest, hard working, sincerely concerned, well meaning, and logically thinking Americans as enemies, by the President, that need punishing. In other words, you don't have do anything wrong to become an enemy of the President, just disagree with him.

Of the "so many" things wrong with this, not the least of which is that the President simply does not know how to lead the greatest Superpower on the planet. He certainly knows how to alienate this nation, divide it, and keep it divided, but in terms of getting the people on board with his agenda, it's not happening, even though we are about two years into his Presidency. O, and why is someone an "enemy" if they disagree with your politics? It used to be in America that people of all different persuasions could pull together in a direction that would help protect Liberty. I know, those were the days when Statesmen had character, politics was not about power but rather about serving the people, and the enemies were not those of the other party.

What's next, rounding up up political prisoners like they did under Saddam Hussein, like they did under Hitler in Germany, like they did in Communist Russia...that's what those guys did with their "enemies." Mr. President, when are you going to get your Presidential act together and realize that leadership is not about creating political war and declaring that half of this nation is your enemy? There are a lot of real people, that have real concerns about real problems, and they are not bad people because they disagree with you. We thought we elected a President, but it is looking more like we elected a school bully with a history of issues. Mr. President, I don't think your enemies are as domestic as you make it sound, but rather, you just might be your own worst enemy.
